Tools For Survival
What You Need to Know When You re On Your Own

The back cover teases us with “In his bestseller How To Survive The End of The World As We Know It, he (Rawles) outlined the foundations for survivalist living. Now, he details the tools needed to survive anything from a short-term disruption to a long-term, grid-down scenario. Tools For Survival covers all the essentials, including: Food Preservation and Cooking Tools, Gardening, Farming and Ranching Tools, Making Your Own Tools “ and more.

The listed sections on food preservation and gardening piqued my interest . The first thing that I noticed is references to web sites and YouTube. Not only do these rarely remain valid by publication time, if society as we know it has ended then presumably the Internet has gone with it.  As I read further it became clear that the title is fairly literal, this is a list of items to purchase to either go off grid or survive society’s end. You will need a lot of money to prepare even half as well as the author suggests. While some may find it handy to have this information all in one place, the information is all available in various places on the Internet including the author’s own web site. ~~ Anon
